Getting TRT in Bali as an Australian: How It Actually Works

Australian men come to Bali for TRT initiation because the AU pathway is either slow (public endocrinology, 8-24 weeks) or expensive (private clinic memberships, AUD 2,400-4,800/yr). The actual workflow is straightforward.

Step 1 — Bloodwork in Bali

Book FORM. Arrive Friday or Saturday, draw early Monday morning fasted. Panel covers total and free testosterone, SHBG, sensitive estradiol, LH, FSH, prolactin, DHEA-S, AM cortisol, plus full metabolic, lipid, and inflammatory work.

Results return within 7 days. While you wait, enjoy Bali. The draw itself is 15 minutes.

Step 2 — Expert-reviewed PDF report

Expert-reviewed PDF report from Dr. Nikola Topalovic with personalised insights and reference ranges. If bloodwork suggests low T, your AU GP can initiate TRT under their own clinical judgement using the report. A standalone paid 1:1 video consult with Dr. Nikola is bookable at /consult.

If TRT isn't indicated, we say so. Often the answer is fixing sleep, weight, or thyroid first.

Step 3 — Continuing in Australia

Take the expert-reviewed PDF report to your AU GP. Most will continue prescribing under shared care once they see specialist-led bloodwork. Some won't — confirm before you fly.

If your usual GP won't, online private GP services (Eucalyptus, Hub Health, Mosh) are options, as are dedicated AU men's-health clinics.

PBS subsidy: testosterone is PBS-subsidised only if you meet strict criteria (total T <8 nmol/L on two AM readings + LH/FSH evidence). Many TRT initiations don't qualify and you pay private — typically under AUD 100/month all-in for the medication.

Step 4 — Follow-up bloods

At 6 weeks and 12 weeks after initiation, repeat total T, free T, SHBG, sensitive E2, haematocrit, and PSA (if 45+). Any AU pathology provider can run these.

Send results back to FORM for protocol adjustment if needed. Most men settle on a stable dose within 3-6 months.

FAQs

Can FORM ship TRT to Australia?
No. We don't ship medication into Australia. The legal pathway is your AU GP continuing the prescription under shared care once they have the specialist protocol and bloodwork.
What if my Australian GP won't continue TRT?
Options: change to a GP who will (most online private GP services), use an AU men's-health clinic for the prescription, or work with a private endocrinologist.
Is doing TRT in Bali legal as an Australian?
Yes — bloodwork is bloodwork. Initiation by a foreign-licensed MD is legitimate; AU GPs continue care under standard shared-care practice. Don't import medication into Australia.
